Disaster Care Ministry Golf Tournament

Tropical Storm Isaac is spinning out in the Gulf of Mexico, By later today it is expected to reach hurricane status. It will make landfall later this week.

Tropical Storm Isaac is a good reminder of why we do disaster care ministry at Beautiful Savior. In order to fund our ministry we are hosting the First Annual Disaster Care Ministry Golf Tournament at Prairie Lakes Golf Coarse in Grand Prairie, TX., sponsored by Liberty Building Technologies.

Come Join us September 17,2012 for a fun day of golf to benefit the Disaster Care Ministry at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Proceeds form the Tournament will go toward the purchase of a disaster Response trailer, disaster equipment and disaster supplies used to create disaster Buckets for the victims of storms.

Disaster Care is a Ministry opportunity. Reaching out to people in their time of need says a lot about who we are. Our Disaster Care Ministry reaches out to those affected by disaster in several different ways.

We have a trained Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) that can be activated to help when disaster strikes. They are able to go into a disaster area, help with clean up and share God's love.

We also have our Bucket Brigade That assembles disaster buckets full of cleaning supplies and delivers them to those who need them. The cost of each bucket is about $20.

We have Responded to Disasters in Louisiana, Arkansas and across Texas.
